basic appearance: Vesadi is a proud individual, standing only 5'6 but she carries herself with her shoulders back and chin up. Mid-back length blonde hair falls in soft waves, but it is often braided or twisted in some odd fashion. Flashing brown/green orbs peer into one's soul, tearing a person to pieces before putting them back together before her. Her flesh is creamy pale and if she was to remove her clothing, littered with scars, mainly about her forearms and legs from running through the brush. There is a nasty looking scar that cuts down her ribs, ending just above her hip.
primary personality traits: Vesadi is a walking contradiction. She is passionate about her home Hold and her new position in her husband's Hold but she would rather not have the responsibility. Feisty and sharp tongued, she doesn't allow others to walk over her and makes her views heard, but she is smart and educated as her position demands and knows when it is best to speak and when not to. She chooses her words and time carefully, ever watchful and vigilant to the point of sometimes coming off meek and shy if one doesn't know her. She enjoys being able to fade into the background in a room full of men and allow the attention to shine on Sellen's other wives.
relevant history: Born to a low Hold Lord as his second daughter, Vesadi wasn't focused on and there was little promise of her being needed to step into the light to shine as a Hold Lady one day. So she took up a more . . . aggressive lifestyle. From a young age, she was taught to defend and fight for her people, the result is a the strong willed, watchful young woman you see before you. She holds little interest in the issues of dragons and their kind. Stories told to her by an elderly teacher informed her that the dragons once protected the land from a deadly force, thus she believes that they aren't truly bad, even if there was some issue with hide color or something like that.
News came not to long after Vesadi's twenty-first name day that her sister would be married to a Hold Lord for extra protection. This news didn't sit well with her sister who decided to run away with her lover, leaving her family holding a parchment that called on them to supply a young bride. With no other daughters, her father ordered Vesadi to take her sister's place. It wasn't her first choice, but she had been raised to defend her family and so she packed up her meager belongings and they rode off for Baron Hold. Luckily, little description had been offered to the Hold Lord, so the switch was passed off easily enough.
The idea of being someone's third wife isn't foreign to her; however, the idea of being with someone around her father's age is a little off putting and not her choice. Having never met, or even been to Baron Hold, the Hold Lord, she knows nothing about him or his family. Time will tell if she grows to accept her new role in life or if she decides to take action against it.
