name: J'har, born Joharis
sex: Male
age: idk late 30s/early 40s
dragon name: Uthenarith
dragon color: Bronze, piebald.
His piebald expression is primarily bleached with a Bronze splash overo coloring his topline. His face is white up until his eyes, the top of his neck, back, and tail are Bronze. His massive wingspan is mottled Bronze and bleached, primarily bronze, with irregular flecks of bleached pigment scattered throughout them. The edge between bleached and Bronze is incompletely bleached, giving it a fuzzy, nondistinct appearance. He's massive, easily one of the biggest dragons in the Weyr, but it does little to overcome the stigma of his color.
dragon personality:
Uthenarith was of the first clutch between Urmath and Soforith, and he managed to escape the worst of the crazies that plagued his siblings. His particular brand of crazy runs toward an obsession with numbers and an imaginary companion whose thoughts only he - and J'har by virtue of their telepathic bond - can hear. He'll often be seen (when even seen) situation by himself, running his talons across the surface that holds him, and rocking his head back and forth as he silently counts off numbers. He stands out among his siblings for an utter lack of aggression and his tendency to look at people with what seems to be a very blank stare. He doesn't socialize much with the other dragons, partially because of his lack of aggression/lack of desire to deal with his more aggressive brethren (as easy as it would be for the majority, given how much larger he is than most of those that inhabit the Weyr) and partially because he feels himself and J'har and his imaginary companion (who simply goes by 'Friend') are enough.
faceclaim: JJ Field
basic appearance:
Tall, long-limbs, looks like he should be gangly and awkward but is surprisingly graceful. Muscular from years of work. Attractive in a dorkish sort of way, which he tries to offset by his stern demeanor. When he smiles, his whole face lights up and honestly he's much more charismatic when he's genial. Which isn't often enough.
primary personality traits:
relevant history:
I mean, the storyline is relevant. He was born in Tazum Weyr to a rider of a Brown and a laundress attached to the Weyr. They weren't exclusive by any means, and J'har didn't really grow up with his father being any real influence on him beyond an important member of the Weyr. He loved his mother dearly, and had a friendly relationship with his siblings. He was quite young when S'ris and Hydaja took over the Weyr, and didn't have any overly strong opinions on how things should go beyond being worried about the dragons. He and his siblings served and candidates for Soforith's first Hatching, and several of them were savagely mauled (two died from their injuries.) The exceptional savagery of the bleached and piebald hatchlings scared him quite badly, and it was with great fortune that he Impressed on little Uthenarith, who waddled over to him and stuck his fat head into J'har's hands with all the grace of a three legged puppy. They grew up together, and by the time they were full-fledged members of the Weyr, they'd been under S'ris's rule long enough to not question it. Over the years, they've pretty much flown under the radar, being dutiful and obedient and hardworking. J'har probably has a few weyrbrats of various ages running around at this point.

ambitions:
Man, he just wants people to be nice to him and his bb dragon.
other:
Is slated to be the new boyfriend (read, serial sex partner) of rider B'til, much to B'til's horror. Damn that promiscuous green, whatever will she be thinking when she picks Uthenarith not just once, but twice?

primary personality traits:
- Not necessarily GrimDark, but he's rather stoical most of the time. Guards his emotions closely.
- Sense of humor runs toward irony and sarcasm. Will privately share riddles with Uthenarith.
- Takes duties as a dragonrider seriously, and holds that above all else - namely, the stigma of having Impressed with a piebald dragon, who despite his initial horror turned out to be a wonderful creature with pretty harmless quirks.
- Always has a running dialogue in his head -- usually numbers, or Uthenarith's conversation with 'Friend' -- which he has learned over the years to tune out.
- Typically partners with women, but isn't terribly offset by sleeping with men if the occasion calls for it.
- Fairly practical in a "this is how it is, no time for bullshit" sort of way.
- Doesn't enjoy the stigma and how some people treat him, and his idea is to have such a work ethic and countenance that one day people won't doubt his contributions to the Weyr. He's getting there.

relevant views on current events:
- Accepted S'ris's decisions made when he was a kid, doesn't think too hard about it now.
- Devoted to the Weyr, though not necessarily S'ris himself. Would be open to the prospect of a new leader.
- Understands that there's a long interval, but is beginning to doubt the existence of the Threads.
- Doesn't think bleached and piebald dragons are so bad, but is concerned about the heightened aggression the newer youngsters are exhibiting. Would be a fan of more selective breeding.
