Basically the embodiment of a teenage heartthrob but is way too Humble and Anti-Vanity (on a moral level) to let his appearance go to his head.
Primary Personality Traits: Incredibly hard-working. Extroverted, big brother type. Takes it upon himself to take care of the people around him. Very strong morals. Has the capability to betray who he is loyal to if his morals conflict with his orders, especially when relating to children. Wouldn’t put up a fight if he was picked up by a Searcher because he wants to be noble and brave, and would rather them take him so that less children need to be picked up (or so he reasons). Prefers diplomacy over violence, but isn’t afraid to fuck somebody up if they go against the morals he is so attached to. Definitely can come off as controlling in his effort to be Good and make others Good. Very judgmental in his thoughts, but does not translate those into words or actions. Does not understand people with loose/no morals (“That’s just...wrong! You could hurt someone!”). Vehemently opposed to any form of murder.
Relevant History: Grew up as the oldest of five in a poorer family. His father was a drunk and his mother died in childbirth, so not only did Lieonv have to go to work for his siblings, but he had to care for and teach them as well. Taught his little sisters how to garden, what berries are safe to eat, how to cook, and how to make clothes; taught his brothers how to hunt, how to chop firewood, how to tend livestock, and how to (and when to) fight. To protect his brothers (12 and 10), from being found and forced to be a candidate, Lieonv sent them with a friend of his who travels with a runnerbeast caravan, paying him to keep them hidden in the wagons.
Lieonv works as a runnerbeast saddlemaker’s apprentice/chore-boy. These chores often involve chopping down trees and transporting the wood, taking care of and riding the saddlemaker’s runnerbeasts, tanning leather, and organizing trades for metal and other supplies the saddlemaker needs. He is not paid enough for this work, but it’s a job, and Lieonv’s family can’t afford for him to be unemployed for any amount of time.
Relevant Views On Current Events: Internalized stigma against bleached dragons and all that, but refuses to entertain the idea of treating them or their riders any lesser (even if he thinks it). Old-fashioned views of gender roles due to his upbringing and the people he raised himself around. Thinks it’s perfectly fine that the Holds work for the Weyr because he understands why we need and have dragons, but does not think that justifies anyone hurting anyone else for any reason.
Ambitions: Doesn’t really have any ambitions other than keeping his family safe.
